Now 1% doesn’t sound much does it. And it’s not. It’s an amount we can afford, and it’s an amount we won’t miss. So why wouldn’t we help someone when we can.

Every year Journey-Smiths gives something back to the community.  We launched The 1% Project as an initiative which gave you, our clients, the opportunity to decide who we can help. Together we provided beds for the homeless, food parcels for the hungry, and a place of safety for those in danger.

  • In the first year we gifted our leadership development program to the Chums charity in the UK. Chums provide bereavement support for children, young people and families.

  • In the second year we provided free leadership development support to a New Zealand not-for-profit organization that provides online safety support and advice for New Zealanders.

It turns out the 1% Project really resonated. So again, this Christmas, our Christmas gift to you, is your gift to someone in need.

At least 1% of the value of the work we do with you this year will go to one of the charities we support. All you need to do is to decide who it goes to, and we’ll do the rest.

All of these charities have been chosen for a reason. They are meaningful to us because we’ve either used them ourselves, or someone we care about has needed their help.

Have a read about who they are and what they do. When we get in touch about our donation, just let us know who you’d like to receive the gift.

If there is another charity that is close to your heart, we’re happy to support them too. Just let us know and we’ll make it happen.
